RACE REPORT
The field got away to a clean, brisk start with Navarre setting the early pace from Sari Bahr, King John and Shenley Bay. There was little material change in the order for the first three quarters of a mile, whereupon ZZ took closer order in second, although Sari Bahr and King John were still in contention. As they turned into the straight the early leader Navarre was a spent force and gave way to King John and Sari Bahr. It was clear from the stands that King John was going ominously well and cantered to an easy 8 length victory from Sari Bahr, with a further 4 lengths back to Navarre, with Shenley Boy in fourth. |
